About Old Paths Media
Welcome to Old Paths Media. Our desire is to offer a large selection of media with a distinctively Biblical worldview and to support both Christian family businesses and the growing independent Christian film industry. Customers will benefit from having a wide range of true family friendly, solid Christian media to choose from and will be able to order from multiple companies at once, with no shipping charges! Vendors will benefit by growing a broader customer base and gaining exposure for their films, music and other products. We hope it will be a win/win situation all around.
We have carefully selected products that we hope will exhort, equip and encourage God's people as they seek to serve the Lord in a culture increasingly at enmity with Him.
Seek. Walk. Rest.
Jeremiah 6:16 has long been a special verse to us: Thus saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way and walk therein and ye shall find rest for your souls. It is this verse that we have based our store upon.
Seek
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:2 ~ Order my steps in thy Word. Psalm 119:133 ~ Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Proverbs 4:26 ~ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness Matthew 6:33
As Christians we must ever be desiring to know the truth of God's Holy Word. We have included products that will exhort us to seek the Lord's ways, to diligently search out His Word and leave the wisdom of man behind. We must evaluate everything in the light of Scripture, and having discovered the path to take, set our feet firmly on it.
Walk
That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory. 1 Thess. 2:12 ~ In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. Deut. 30:16
Walking in God's path is not always easy. As Christian discovered on the road to the Celestial City, the road can be rough and weary at times. There are many enemies to be fought along the way in the cause of Rightousness. We must see that we are properly equipped both for the journey and the battles. Many of the products that we sell are much needed tools and weapons: Tools to build up our faith and our families as we educate our children, begin family businesses, get out of debt, create orderly,welcoming homes, establish godly churches or start a family farm. Weapons to defend our faith as we grow in the knowledge of the truth ; to strengthen ourselves and our young ones to walk steadfastly in God's ways and refuse to be lured from them.
Rest
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18 ~ Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. Psalm 119:35 ~ For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11
The old paths are also the path of blessing, peace and rest; both at the end of the journey and along the way. We offer many products that provide encouragement and refreshment to often weary travelers. Simple pleasures such as these help renew us for the journey and keep our eyes fixed on the long term and eternal rewards and rest that the Lord has for His pilgrims.
